Inside Radio 1...

So just watched a documentry on how the inside of radio stations work, this one being radio 1!
It was an intresting watch just to see how much work and reserch goes into something like that.

Myself I love a listen to the radio while doing the house duties it gives you a bit of everything, some tunes you havent heard for ages. The presenter was Dr Mark Hamilton he does the sunday surgery on sunday evening on Radio 1. He gave you a tour of the station and all the equipment needed to run it,it all looked qiut complex.

Since the start of radio 1 in 1964 when Tony Blackburn did the first broadcast it has all come a long way. The station trys to do its best to attrect a broad range of listners by having different presenters do diffenent types of shows. With dance dj's at the weekend for the build up and in the afternoon some scott mills. It also gives people the chance to listen to tunes for the first time and to premote there bands and have others opinions on it by using the chat forums, listners then feel involved. It was a good watch but dont think in the future I will be working in radio. Ax
